We are so excited to announce the opening of the Kentucky Institute of Massage and Integrated Manual Therapy. We have been wanting to expand in this direction for years now and we finally have the space. We hope that this will allow prospective students to have options of Massage Therapy training without the commute to Louisville or Lexington.
Students will have the benefit of small class sizes in order to allow for more specified training. Class hours will allow students with busy schedules to participate as we will offer morning, afternoon and evening classes and we try to schedule our calendar to coincide with local school systems for students with school-age children. Classes start January 2021.
We prepare our students to pass the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) and assist them in obtaining their Kentucky State Massage Therapy License. The Massage Therapy Program is a 900-hour course (exceeds the minimum required by the state.) The Program uses the Entry-Level Analysis Project (ELAP) Curriculum which was created by a coalition of several National Massage Therapy Organizations that decided that this curriculum was the information new Massage Therapists should know when starting the profession as well as Orthopedic assessment and massage.
Tuition is $12,000 and includes textbook rental, student insurance, initial Licensing Exam Fee, State Licensing Fee and Student Clinic Uniform Fee. Students are expected to purchase Massage oil/cream and 3 sets of linens/twin size sheet sets. We will also offer Continuing Education Courses for Licensed Massage Therapists that wish to fulfill their licensing renewal commitment. Payment plans will be available for those who qualify.
